POSITION: Employment Law Articling Student

REPORTS TO: Founder

LOCATION: 1 West Pearce Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3K3 (Leslie & Hwy 7)

 

Who We Are:

We are a boutique Employment Law firm providing expert legal advice to employers and employees on all workplace matters. We are looking for an Articling Student to support our firm’s continued growth.

Rodney Employment Law specializes in all areas of workplace law, including but not limited to, wrongful dismissal, employment standards, employment agreements, termination and disability cases, investigations, workplace harassment and human rights. Our clients are both employers and employees. This gives us broad insight into both sides of the employment relationship and allows us to provide practical and efficient advice.

Our team at Rodney Employment Law has extensive experience dealing with all types of workplace issues. Having spent many years in corporate environments, we provide legal solutions from a business perspective while recognizing there is a clear people-side to what we do. Rodney Employment Law takes pride in its close affiliation with MaxPeople, a highly experienced Human Resources Consulting firm.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: 

Conducting extensive HR and legal research;

Drafting correspondence and legal documents;

Working directly with clients; Assisting lawyers with various file work; General assistance to the team; Sound judgement and the capacity to manage multiple and competing priorities

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required; and

A values-based individual who consistently demonstrates behaviours aligned with our Firm’s values including: Respect, Initiative, Passion, Excellence and Teamwork
